Looking on the Bright Side


Well today turned out to be quite a long day. My wife and I attended a photoshoot session that lasted from 10am til 7pm and I took all of my stuff with me in order to draw while there. Sadly, there was never a slow moment, and certainly no room in order to try to sketch the models as they slid from pose to pose. After the shoot I had about an hour and tried to rough out as many of the poses I could remember from throughout the day. On the bright side, it was a really fun exercise trying to remember the unique poses and try to render the fun playful manner of the gestures. Also, we met some really awesome people that we will be hanging out with more frequently. The sad part is I was really looking forward to doing some real life drawing and to dedicating most of my day toward art.

So these poses are from what I remember of the shoot (minus the eyes – those are made up):
